How To Record A Voice Memo From An Android Phone
1. Grab your phone and find (or download) a simple voice recorder app. There are a lot of options (just search voice recorder in play store). It's best to use an app which allows you to share multiple files at once by email. I used Voice Recorder by quality apps. Best to switch on 'airplane mode' when recording so you don't get called in the middle of a line!
2. Open the app. It should look like this:
3. Tap on the red button to start recording. You'll see the graphics flash to show the levels.
4. Now hold the phone to your ear (not in front of your mouth) like a normal phone call and speak your line. Listen back to check it's ok. Ideally it's best not to hold the phone as there's more chance of noise, but fairly close is good for a strong level.
5. When you are finished, press the red “Stop” square. Your recordings will be stored in your folder. Tap the headphones symbol (bottom left) to see the list. You can have a quick listen through to each one.
6. You can rename the files if you like or just leave them as they are automatically named.
If you tap on either the share symbol (top right and blue here) or the go in the menu and select share multi-file (2nd image below) you'll be able to select the files that you want to save or send (the blue marks show they are selected). If you tap on the bottom left corner symbol you can send them all by email.

We would ideally recommend compressing/zipping the files first if you can save to your files and do that. A file transfer service such as WeTransfer can also be used if there is any problem with the email size limit of your provider. Just let us know if you have any issues and we'll advise.
